West Bromwich Albion have agreed a multi-year partnership with DPD, appointing the Black Country firm as official delivery partner and back-of-shirt sponsor. The club said in a statement that the company’s branding will feature on the men’s, women’s and academy match jerseys.
DPD was founded in Smethwick in 1970 and has grown into a global brand. Its UK headquarters sit less than a mile from The Hawthorns, with the long-time neighbours becoming partners for the first time.
Albion chief business officer Sam Jeffery called the tie-up a natural fit, highlighting DPD’s Black Country roots and standing as one of the UK’s leading brands. He spoke of shared ambition to do things the right way and of clear affection for the club within the company. Jeffery added that the club welcomes the brand on the shirt and sees scope for the relationship to grow over the coming years.
DPD chief executive Justin Pegg noted the stadium is on the firm’s doorstep and said carrying the name on the back of the Albion shirt means a great deal to staff, many of whom are lifelong Baggies. He framed the partnership as delivering what matters for their people, supporters and the shared community, and said the company is eager to begin.
Supporters will start to see DPD’s presence at The Hawthorns from the start of the new season.
