West Ham United and Sheffield Wednesday target Jamie Vardy is of interest to Brazilian outfit Sao Paulo
West Ham United and Sheffield Wednesday target Jamie Vardy has been the subject of an approach from Brazilian side Sao Paulo this summer, as the former Leicester City hitman continues to weigh up his options before deciding his next club.
According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Vardy, 39, has been approached by the South American outfit recently ahead of a proposed move to Brazil.
The former England international has been the subject of interest from West Ham and Sheffield Wednesday previously following his release from Italian side Cremonese the other month, but now has a surprise offer in front of him from across the globe.

Vardy remains a free agent since his release from Cremonese at the end of May, having been unable to keep the Italian minnows afloat despite seven goals and three assists in 29 league games for the club.
The Englishman, according to Sky Sports, had become of interest to newly-relegated Championship outfit West Ham last week, whilst Sheffield Wednesday owner David Storch has recently made his intentions clear to re-sign the former academy prospect this summer.
Football League World's West Ham fan pundit has previously shared their thoughts on their links to Vardy, with the Hammers firmly in the mix for his signature over the coming weeks.
The Sheffield-born striker enjoyed an incredible career in the Premier League with Leicester, but decided to take his journey to Italy last summer with Cremonese.
Now, Sao Paulo have offered him the opportunity to make another incredible move at this stage in his career, and whilst there have been no indications made as to Vardy's preference at this stage, he will for sure be considering this once-in-a-lifetime offer.

Vardy's journey is one-of-a-kind, having started in the English lower leagues and progressed his way from the eighth-tier to the Premier League, lifting the top-flight title, earning 26 England caps, and reaching a Champions League quarter-final with numerous accolades along the way; his career is a special one.
Whilst he was unable to create a happy chapter with Cremonese, he still demonstrated his ability to perform at the highest level as he approaches 40 years old.
As a free agent, Vardy presents an interesting opportunity to any club willing to take him on, with his presence off the pitch being just as impactful as on it.
A move to Brazil would shock many, but with Sao Paulo having won just one of their last 15 competitive games, they are looking for a hero, and have outlined Vardy as their potential saviour.
Whether they will be able to convince him to uproot his life to South America remains to be seen, as Vardy could follow in the footsteps of the likes of Kaka, Cafu, Rivaldo, and Adriano to don the famous red and black colours.

Sao Paulo's approach for Vardy may well come as a blow to those at West Ham and Sheffield Wednesday, though both clubs have pursued other targets in the meantime.
West Ham are hoping to complete a deal to sign AZ Alkmaar's Troy Parrott before the deadline, as Nuno Espirito Santo hones in on a new star centre-forward in East London.
Sheffield Wednesday has already signed Mason Burstow, Louie Barry, and Harry Gray already this summer to compete with Jamal Lowe up top, whilst Portsmouth's Colby Bishop has also been linked with a move to South Yorkshire.
Vardy is still capable of operating at an extremely high level despite his age, and would be an excellent pickup for both clubs, as Sao Paulo swoop in to try and complete a deal under the English duo's noses.
