West Ham are weighing late fitness calls on several key players before Friday’s meeting with Wolves, with former Wolves boss Nuno hopeful of timely boosts.
According to ExpressAndStar.com, the Hammers have missed important names in recent weeks during their relegation fight, exited the FA Cup to Leeds last week, and go into the trip a point adrift of Tottenham.
Crysencio Summerville is among those to be assessed after a calf issue that has sidelined him for the last three matches. Jean-Clair Todibo has been out for two and a half weeks, while striker Callum Wilson also faces a late test.
Nuno said Summerville is improving, and that Todibo and Wilson are improving as well, with final checks planned tomorrow and optimism they could be available. Mavropanos has cleared the concussion protocol, while Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Mads Hermansen are set to return.
He added that several players are recovering from Sunday’s extra-time outing, with fatigue the main concern, and the staff remain positive going into Friday.
