Nuno Espirito Santo was left feeling frustrated at the decision to allow Brighton’s equaliser in the 1-1 draw against his West Ham side.
Georginio Rutter struck in second-half stoppage time after Jarrod Bowen’s opener to snatch a point for the Seagulls.
The VAR checked the goal for a potential handball by Rutter but allowed the goal to stand, something Espirito Santo was unhappy about.
“High foot, handball. I think it’s clear,” he told BBC Sport.
“VAR checked it. I saw it also. Different opinions. What can we do?
“We played good. Other games also we performed well but today was a good performance.
Speaking to Sky Sports, the Hammers boss also said: “It’s handball, isn’t it?
“We missed a couple of chances that we had, clear ones, but it was a good game.
“We created problems, we contained them. Areola didn’t have much to do.
“Then we scored, tried to close (out) the game and unfortunately we couldn’t.”
