Leeds United are only looking to sell Largie Ramazani permanently amid interest from West Ham ahead of the transfer deadline.

West Ham are interested in Leeds United’s Largie Ramazani, although the Premier League side are only seeking a permanent sale before the deadline.

It has been a chaotic summer for the Hammers following their relegation from the Premier League, and they are expected to be very active in the market before the 11pm cut-off on Tuesday night.

A host of names have been linked with a move to the London Stadium in recent weeks, and Leeds’ Ramazani is believed to be among the targets.

And, in a fresh development, Claret & Hugh have shared an update from ExWHUEmployee, who has confirmed that the 25-year-old is someone the club could look to bring in.

Yet, there could be a problem in agreeing a deal with Leeds, as the Yorkshire outfit only want a permanent sale, with West Ham seemingly hoping for an initial loan.

It’s also said that the Irons aren’t the only club in for Ramazani, with Valencia keen on bringing the player back to Mestalla after he spent the previous campaign on loan with the La Liga side.

But, Los Che are also only interested in a loan move, which has been knocked back by Leeds so far.

You can understand why Leeds want a permanent sale, but it wouldn’t be a huge shock if that stance changed by the deadline, as the reality is that Ramazani is not going to play under Daniel Farke this season.

With Dan James and Wilfried Gnonto both subs most weeks, it shows the strength in depth that the German has in the final third, so Ramazani is not going to be near the XI unless there is an injury crisis.

Therefore, he must push to leave, as he is at a stage in his career where he needs to be playing regularly, and he proved with Valencia last season that he is a good player.

The Whites agreed an €11.7m package with Almeria for the ex-Belgium U21 international in the summer of 2024, so they will presumably be looking to recoup as much as that as possible.

Largie Ramazani would be a good signing for West Ham

As outlined above, West Ham are in a position where they need players to beef up the squad out wide, and with Ramazani capable down both flanks, he ticks the box.

Crucially, he also has Championship experience, and whilst he may have been overshadowed by some of his Leeds teammates in their title-winning 2024/25 campaign, he did have a decent goal return.

So, he would certainly help Nuno’s group if he did make a move, but West Ham do need to make sure the deal makes sense financially as well.

A loan with an option to buy would be ideal for West Ham, but with the deadline approaching, they may have to compromise to ensure Nuno has the signings he needs to sustain a promotion push this season.
