West Ham Star Now At ‘Closing Stages’ Of Move Away | OneFootball

Roma are now in the ‘closing stages’ of their move to sign attacker Crysencio Summerville from West Ham United.

The Giallorossi have been working overtime in recent days to reach an agreement with the Hammers for the winger, after he opened up to a move to Italy.

Summerville has been widely expected to move on from West Ham following their relegation to the Championship, but had been tipped to stay in the Premier League.

Roma though appear set to win the race, despite suggestions Aston Villa have been watching matters closely ahead of a possible swoop, and Summerville is poised to be playing his football in Serie A next term.

Now the Giallorossi are aiming to get the deal over the line as quickly as possible and are making solid progress in that direction.

According to Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla, Roma are now in the ‘closing stages’ of signing Summerville from West Ham.

It appears Roma have found an agreement on a fee with West Ham to push the deal through and are motoring ahead.

How much the Hammers might be banking from the sale of Summerville remains unclear, but there has been an expectation it will be around the €50m mark.

Summerville will link up with fellow Netherlands international Donyell Malen at Roma.

Malen joined Roma in the winter transfer window from Aston Villa and was a major success story, helping the Giallorossi to qualify for the Champions League.

Roma made his loan move permanent earlier this summer.

Summerville spoke to Malen while on international duty with the Netherlands at the World Cup and those conversations are suggested to have opened him up to a move to Roma.

Now the Giallorossi will try to get the capture over the line as soon as possible to guard against late hijack attempts from other clubs.
