According to Sports Zone, West Ham United are switching their focus to find an agreement with Salzburg’s Oumar Solet (24) following a rejection from Nice’s Jean Clair Todibo (24). The Salzburg defender has emerged as the Hammers’ top defensive target as Julien Lopategui looks to reinforce his options at centre-back.

Todibo had been the Premier League club’s priority target for the defensive position but the Nice player is prioritising a potential move to Juventus. The former Barcelona defender wants to play for the Bianconeri, according to Fabrizio Romano. As a result, the East London club have turned its focus elsewhere.

Aston Villa also interested

West Ham are not the only club interested in the former Lyon defender, Sports Zone report. Fellow Premier League club Aston Villa and Bundesliga club Stuttgart are also interested in signing Solet during the summer transfer window. However, the Hammers are pushing to complete a deal for Solet with RB Salzburg.
