According to the Mirror, West Ham have identified Jorgen Strand Larsen as a January striker target as they try to reel in Leeds United in the relegation fight.

Alan Pardew said this week that West Ham needed to invest when the window opens to stand any chance of finishing above Leeds.

West Ham are expected to be busy. The report said Niclas Fullkrug is set to leave for AC Milan on loan, while Guido Rodriguez is a loan target for Ajax.

Larsen stayed at Wolves in the summer after a £55m bid from Newcastle. They signed Yoane Wissa and Nick Woltemade instead, with Larsen remaining at the Premier League’s worst side.

Jamie Carragher believes the six-point gap between Leeds and West Ham is meaningful, yet West Ham appear ready to invest to get themselves out of danger and above Leeds.
