West Ham United striker Callum Wilson is in talks to leave the club during the ongoing winter transfer window, according to The Athletic.

The 33-year-old joined West Ham as a free agent last summer after his contract at Newcastle United ended.

Wilson has played 18 matches since joining the Hammers, weighing in with four goals. However, he wants to leave after the club signed Pablo Felipe and Taty Castellanos.

Niclas Fullkrug and Luis Guilherme have already left the London Stadium in recent days, and Wilson could be the third forward to move on.

Wilson wants to keep playing regularly and could move on if both parties agree to terminate his contract.

He signed a one-year deal with the Hammers, but the contract is incentive-based and moving on could be in the best interest of both parties.

Nuno Espirito Santo is desperate to keep his side up after collecting just two league wins since replacing Graham Potter last September.

They have two new strikers who are expected to hit the ground running, and the club could look to strengthen other areas to boost their chances of survival.

The Hammers return to Premier League action tomorrow night when they take on Nottingham Forest at the London Stadium.

They need a response after their disappointing 3-0 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers over the weekend.

More changes are expected at West Ham in the coming weeks, and Nuno will have no excuses as the club have backed him in the transfer market.
