Corinthians have loaned centre-back João Pedro Tchoca to Torino for €1.5 million, about R$9.5 million, a deal running to the end of July 2026. It includes a €4.5 million obligation to buy, about R$28 million, contingent on appearances.
According to Meu Timao, the clause triggers if he plays at least 10 matches of 45 minutes or more by the end of the European season. With the remaining schedule, he has at least 17 Torino fixtures to reach that mark.
The agreement also carries up to €1 million in bonuses, taking the total towards roughly R$43.8 million. Corinthians would receive 12% of any future profit if Torino sell him.
Torino sit 16th in Serie A with 23 points from 22 matches. They remain in the Coppa Italia, where they face Internazionale in a single-leg quarter-final.
The team have struggled defensively this season, conceding 42 goals in 25 games, so they moved for reinforcements and identified Tchoca.
Before his arrival the centre-back pool comprised Saúl Coco, Guilherme Maripán, Saba Sazonov, Ardian Ismajili, Adam Masina and Perr Schuurs. The last three are injured, and Marco Baroni’s preference for three centre-backs could hand the Brazilian early minutes, with full-backs having covered there.
Torino lost 6-0 to Como on Saturday. With no European commitments, Baroni has a free week to work and Tchoca could get his first chance at home to Lecce on Sunday in matchweek 23.
