What new Lucozade sponsorship means for Manchester City women

Manchester City have agreed a new sponsorship deal with Lucozade, which will see the product featured across both the men and women’s teams.
Lucozade products, including player bottles and ice coolers, will be prominently featured across all Manchester City games.
The industry leading brand will be on display at both the Etihad and Joie Stadium for training and matchdays.
Lucozade is a globally recognised brand and its presence within City is sure to boost the club’s profile both on and off the pitch.
Vice President of Global Sales at City, Kaitlyn Beale, said: “We are delighted to welcome Lucozade as our new Official Sports Drink Partner.
“As a brand recognised for performance and innovation, Lucozade is a natural fit to partner with the club and we’re excited about the opportunities this partnership will bring as we continue to strengthen our elite performance environment across the coming seasons.”
While the men’s team are struggling for form this season, Manchester City women are flying in the WSL.
Andree Jeglertz’ side have been a revelation this year and after beating Chelsea at the weekend they now hold an 11 point lead in the league.
There is seemingly no stopping the champions elect, who look set to finally stop Chelsea winning the title for the first time in six years.
With just eight games left to play City can confirm their first league title since 2016 in the Manchester derby at the end of March.
The title is of course still up for grabs despite City’s healthy advantage, but it is hard to imagine the team dropping off so much – especially after such a dominant win against their title rivals last weekend.
