Boca defeated Recoleta 3-1 in the first leg of the Copa Sudamericana last 16, their final home outing at the Estadio Tomás Adolfo Ducó, against opponents who had two players sent off. As reported by LaNumer12.com.ar, they now turn immediately back to the Clausura.

Rodolfo Arruabarrena's side visit Platense on Saturday 15 August at 21:15 at the Estadio Ciudad de Vicente López. Boca drew 1-1 with Vélez in their last Clausura fixture and will look to push on.

The meeting carries added intrigue with Martín Palermo back in charge of Platense. The last time Boca faced the all-time top scorer in their history, on 18 August 2023, they won 3-1 with goals from Cristian Medina, Exequiel Zeballos and Edinson Cavani.

Boca's schedule continues with the return leg at Recoleta on Tuesday 18 August at 19:00. They then travel to Racing on Sunday 23 August at 21:30, before hosting Lanús on Saturday 29 August at 19:00.
