Fabrizio Romano have confirmed that Liverpool have agreed a deal worth more than £100m for Paris Saint-Germain forward Bradley Barcola.
The 23-year-old will travel to Merseyside for his medical once documents have been exchanged between the two clubs in the next 24 hours.
If all goes well, you can expect confirmation from the club later this week and perhaps even before Liverpool’s clash with Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
That will leave Liverpool fans on the edge of their seats and eager to see their new marquee signing, but when will that be?
Due to registration rules, don’t expect Barcola to be in the squad this weekend, regardless of when the deal is announced.
Therefore, Liverpool’s away trip to Ipswich Town on Friday the 4th of September could see Barcola feature. By that point, the transfer window will have been closed for a number of days and the forward should have took part in team training throughout the week and be ready to feature in some capacity.
In terms of an Anfield debut in front of a keen Kop, Barcola will undoubtedly be ready to make his mark against Tottenham Hotspur in the third round of the Carabao Cup. That fixture is set to take place on either Tuesday the 8th or Wednesday the 9th of September.

Barcola becomes the fourth arrival at Anfield this summer, following Jeremy Jacquet, Victor Munoz and Ronald Araujo. All three made their debuts in the 2-2 draw against Newcastle United on Sunday.
Interestingly, at least one more new signing is expected to follow Barcola through the door before the window shuts.
Liverpool are still looking to strengthen their attack and have had bids rejected for both Yankuba Minteh and Ismaila Sarr in recent days.
Another PSG forward in Ibrahim Mbaye remains on their shortlist, but it remains to be seen whether Liverpool can find the value in that move.
