A month ago, André Ayew signed a six-month contract with an option for an additional season with NAC Breda in the Netherlands. Far from stepping away from football, the 36-year-old Ghanaian international has embraced a new challenge: helping NAC Breda remain in the Eredivisie.

The legend, who boasts a record 120 caps for the Black Stars, has not been called up to the national team since the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast. Yet this hasn't fazed the former Olympique de Marseille star, who addressed the topic in an interview with ESPN.

I have never thought about it (retirement) because I am healthy and feel at my best. I take each day as it comes and always prepare for a better tomorrow, both on and off the pitch. I don’t think about it. When the time comes, your body will let you know.
