As the hometown hero prepares to play three shows at the Tractor Boys' Portman Road, where does he rank among the richest people in the UK?
Ipswich are currently in the preparation stage of the 2025/26 campaign, as they look to build a squad capable of pushing for promotion back into the Premier League. It comes after crushing relegation for Kieran McKenna's side, where their return to the top tier of the English game lasted just one season.
Town are without star striker Liam Delap after his move to Chelsea, with plenty of gaps needing to be filled up and down the pitch with a constant buzz of links to switches away from Portman Road for a number of the club's top talents.
The Tractor Boys have reportedly received an offer for their Kosovo international goalkeeper Arijanet Muric, while they are looking to swoop in and seal the return of former loanee Jens Cajuste to help plug the holes in their midfield after the exits of central operators such as Kalvin Phillips.
The most recent edition of The Sunday Times Rich List, which is a trusted source for the calculations of wealth for some of the biggest names in the world, put Sheeran in 333rd spot.
He was a re-entry on the list, with an estimated net worth of £370m. That is attributed to his music, which has seen him sell close to 200 million copies of albums and release songs such as 'Shape of You' and 'Thinking out Loud'.
Sheeran took a minority stake in the club he has supported throughout his life, with a 1.4% stake that did not grant him a place on the Board at Ipswich.
He has a personalised hospitality box at Portman Road, as well as featuring as the front of shirt sponsor during the 2024/25 season.
When he took on his minority stake, Sheeran said: “I have lived in Suffolk since I was three years old and, while I travel the world and sometimes feel like an outsider in big cities, Suffolk and Ipswich have always made me feel part of the community and protected."
