Erling Haaland, Man City & Norway’s prolific striker has revealed his deepest fear in candid interview with Norway’s NRK.
The 24 year old admitted he's "afraid of death" because of the uncertainty about what comes after life.
Haaland said these thoughts strike him most often before bed.
"It scares me when I’m lying alone, thinking: what will happen the day I die? Will I go to heaven? To hell? Where will I go?" he told NRK.
The Norwegian also reflected on the passing of Ivar Ega .. a close family friend who died last year.
"It’s hard. It’s sad that he’s no longer here. I’ll miss him for the rest of my life" Haaland said.
Haaland shared the advice Ega gave him from his deathbed: to enjoy life and give his all on the pitch.
"He told me to go out, beat everyone and enjoy myself. It’s important to remember that" he added.
