Since arriving at Anfield in 2017 Mohamed Salah has rewritten countless records from goal scoring charts to individual accolades.

But new report from Transfermarkt highlights another remarkable milestone: no player in Premier League history has ever seen bigger single season rise in market value than Salah.

According to the football data site, Salah’s value skyrocketed by €70 million in May 2018 jumping from €80m to €150m a record breaking surge that no other player in England’s top flight has matched before or since.

Transfermarkt wrote:

“It was the steepest valuation rise in Premier League history, Salah’s transformation into world class forward reshaped the landscape of English football”

The Elite list behind Salah

While no one has matched Salah’s €70m leap , a handful of stars have come close. 4 player share second place with €40 million rise:

  • Kevin De Bruyne – Manchester City, from €110m to €150m (Jan 2018)
  • Cole Palmer – Chelsea, from €90m to €130m (Dec 2024)
  • Harry Kane – Tottenham, from €80m to €120m (Jan 2018)

Salah even appears twice in top 5. His second largest jump €40m to €80m came just five month into his Liverpool career in Jan 2018.

Further down the list, Sadio Mane also features with €35m leap (from €85m to €120m in Jun 2019) highlighting Liverpool’s era of exceptional talent development under Jurgen Klopp.
