Wilfried Singo, signed by Galatasaray for €31 million from AS Monaco, opened up on the club's YouTube channel. The 24-year-old Ivorian defender revealed that it all came down to just one person.

"Galatasaray is a different world"

Singo shared that coach Okan Buruk was instrumental in his decision:

Before I came, Okan Buruk spoke to me in Italian and explained the project. That’s what convinced me to sign. Here, I receive incredible respect and love. Galatasaray is a different world.

The player says he has been blown away by the atmosphere and the positive changes since his arrival. Highly ambitious, Singo believes in his team:

We’re going to give everything to reach the Champions League semi-finals or even the final. Why not win it? We have a really strong team.
