Reds are aiming to complete the double over Chelsea following victory back in March
Liverpool Legends’ squad for this afternoon’s charity match against Chelsea Legends has been confirmed.
Seven months on from the showdown at Anfield, a rivalry will be reignited - only this time at Stamford Bridge as the Reds look to complete a double over the Blues.
Back in March, the Liverpool Legends eased to a 2-0 win in Merseyside thanks to a second half brace from Peter Crouch.
However, despite those heroics, Crouch - along with Steven Gerrard - have not been confirmed in the Liverpool Legends squad for the reverse fixture.
That said, the likes of Sander Westerveld, Fabio Aurelio, Martin Skrtel, Ragnar Klavan, Mark Gonzalez, Jay Spearing, Gregory Vignal, Igor Biscan, Florent Sinama-Pongolle and Natasha Dowie are all returning.
Last month it was announced that Pepe Reina will make his first appearance for the Liverpool Legends, while Stephane Henchoz has also signed up to face Chelsea.
The pair could be part of a Liverpool defence that also includes Skrtel and Aurelio, while Robbie Keane has been included in a squad that will be managed by Club Ambassador Ian Rush alongside John Aldridge, Phil Thompson and Sammy Lee.
Goalkeepers: Reina, Westerveld.
Defenders: Fabio Aurelio, Vignal, Biscan, Skrtel, Klavan, Henchoz, Kelly.
Midfielders: Spearing, Gonzalez, Benayoun, Babel.
Forwards: Keane, Sinama-Pongolle, Dowie.
