Sky Sports Italia reports that Massara’s relationship with Kessie is one of the reasons the midfielder wants the move to Juventus. They worked together at AC Milan, and that previous relationship appears to have helped convince Kessie that Juventus remain serious about bringing him to Turin.

The midfielder therefore has little reason to rush into accepting another offer. Juventus remain his preferred destination, and his status as a free agent gives him greater flexibility while the Bianconeri resolve their squad situation.

Massara has reportedly assured Kessie that Juventus will make their move at the right time. The midfielder therefore needs to remain patient while the club works on making sales and completing other transfers.

Juventus want to sign players who are not free agents first because those deals cannot be completed after the transfer window closes. Kessie, meanwhile, can wait because his free agent status means he is not subject to the same deadline.

That situation gives the Bianconeri additional time to resolve their squad. Kessie appears willing to wait for the opportunity to join Juventus, particularly because he wants to return to European football and work with Spalletti.
