Juventus sets condition to send Di Gregorio to France on loan

Juventus want Michele Di Gregorio to leave their squad this summer as they have a new number one and would like him to get regular game time this term.

If he stays in Turin, he would not play enough matches, and the Bianconeri now want to help him regain his form. The former Monza man has therefore been offered to Olympique Marseille in France.

Although Di Gregorio was the best goalkeeper in Serie A at Monza, he has not convinced Juventus that he is good enough to play for them since moving to the club.

Di Gregorio has not improved, and it could be argued that he has regressed. His main problem has been a lack of consistency, although he has had some good days in the Juventus team.

Juventus want Di Gregorio to leave

Juve want him to leave, and OM are open to having him in their squad, so talks are currently taking place in the background.

The Bianconeri see him as a top player who simply needs a change of environment, and a move to France could give him the opportunity to play more regularly and rebuild his confidence.

Di Gregorio needs regular football if he is to rediscover the form that made him such an impressive goalkeeper at Monza. Juventus therefore believe that a temporary move could benefit both the player and the club.

However, there is still an important condition that must be met before the move can happen. Juventus want Marseille to take responsibility for his wages during his time in France.

Marseille face condition for loan

Tuttomercatoweb says Di Gregorio will only leave if OM agree to pay his wages this season.

The Bianconeri expect the French side to make that happen, and it is a condition they need to meet if they want to borrow the goalkeeper from Juventus for one season.

For Marseille, Di Gregorio could provide another option in goal, while Juventus would have the opportunity to give their new number one more responsibility. The arrangement could therefore suit everyone involved if an agreement can be reached.

For now, the goalkeeper’s future remains uncertain, but Juventus clearly want him to leave Turin temporarily. They believe regular football elsewhere could help him recover his best form, while also allowing their new number one to establish himself as the club’s first choice.
