Palmeiras are resisting Manchester City interest in Allan, identified as cover for Savinho with the winger in discussions with Tottenham. There has been no formal offer, and the club’s stance is not to put the attacker on the market.
According to Globo.com, the board do not intend to sell key players this season, prioritising on-pitch objectives, and would only consider an exceptional bid for Allan.
Napoli made an approach at the start of the campaign, and mid-year Aston Villa signalled around 30 million euros including bonuses, but Palmeiras declined to open talks with both.
A recent precedent came early last year, when Vitor Reis was sold to Manchester City for 35 million euros, the biggest fee for a centre-back in Brazil. Palmeiras had wanted to keep him, but the price was deemed irrefusable.
Allan, 22, has been used as a right wing-back in Abel Ferreira’s back three. Khellven and Felipe Anderson have filled in, yet neither replicates his one-on-one dribbling.
He leads the 2026 Brasileiro with 33 successful dribbles in 20 matches. In the Libertadores he ranks third with 10, behind Jaminton Campaz on 13 and Flaco López on 11.
He is also joint fourth for assists for shots in the Libertadores with 15, alongside Júnior Sornoza, trailing Aron Rodríguez on 19, Di María on 17 and Jhon Arias on 17. Allan has six goals and five assists this season.
The Premier League window runs until 31 August, while Brazil’s window for any replacement remains open until 11 September.
