The CNOSF said in a statement that its conciliator recommended upholding the DNCG appeal commission’s 15 July sanction excluding Girondins de Bordeaux from the national championships, because later financial inputs could not be considered.

The conciliator’s remit was a limited review of legality at the date the decision was taken, not a fresh assessment of the club’s financial position.

Sparta Capital’s €10.6 million contribution, following Gérard Lopez’s transfer of his shares on 31 July for one euro and his waiver of claims and a recovery clause, was not part of the original DNCG file and therefore could not be taken into account.

Only elements showing the situation as it stood at the DNCG appeal hearing can be treated as complementary and considered. Genuinely new items after that stage require the federation’s express consent, and extra time for fresh documents would be deemed unfair to other clubs.

On that basis, the proposed takeover of the FCGB and a current account injection for the 2026-27 budget in the event of National 1 were classed as new items, so were not admitted, and the club was invited to abide by the contested decision.

The CNOSF also noted that its proposal does not prevent the federation from reversing its decision in line with its statutes, and the FFF executive committee is due to meet this week.

For now, Bordeaux are listed in Regional 1, Pool B, in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine league. Dominique Delport, who would become president if the sale is finalised, intends to take the case to the administrative court.
