Aston Villa will face off against Leeds United at Elland Road this Sunday as they hope to secure a good result on the road in the Premier League. The Villans secured a dominant 4-0 win over Bournemouth before the international break, which should keep them in good spirits ahead of this game.

Unai Emery will set his side up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to keep changes to a minimum for this contest. Hence, Ollie Watkins could once again lead the line for the West Midlands club up top.

Defence

Emiliano Martinez will feature in between the sticks for the Villans after keeping a clean sheet in his last league outing. Ezri Konsa will function alongside Pau Torres at the heart of the Aston Villa backline as they look to keep things solid at the back during the game.

Matty Cash will try to catch the eye as the right-back, while Lucas Digne hopes to give a good account of himself on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.

Victor Lindelof and Ian Maatsen will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Midfield

Boubacar Kamara and Amadou Onana will anchor the midfield for the Midlands club as they focus on winning the 50-50 battles at the centre of the park.

The talented trio of Emiliano Buendia, Morgan Rogers and John McGinn will function just ahead of them as part of the Aston Villa attack. All three of them need to be at their best if the Villans are to come out on top this weekend.

Ross Barkley, Jadon Sancho and Youri Tielemans will have to settle for a spot on the bench as they wait for their chance to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if needed.

Attack

Ollie Watkins will lead the line for the Villans up top. He has to find a way to be a constant menace in the final third.

Evann Guessand will be named on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the latter stages if required.
