Pape Matar Sarr has taken part in some training sessions with Juventus as the midfielder builds up his fitness ahead of his debut, following his summer move to the club.

He is at Juve on loan from Tottenham for the rest of this season, and their midfield injury crisis means the Bianconeri need him to be up to speed as soon as possible.

However, Sarr did not arrive match fit, as he was not involved much in Tottenham’s start to the season, and the midfielder has to be managed carefully before he is thrown into the deep end.

Juve’s depleted midfield needs his profile, as he brings speed and good passing to the team, and they are keen for him to become fit and start playing for them as soon as possible.

Sarr could make his Juventus debut

The game against Sassuolo may have come too soon for him, but Tuttojuve says he is in line for his debut, even though he might not start the match.

The report says there is a good chance that he could be brought on around the 70th minute or earlier to help Juve see out the game or try to win it.

His potential involvement would give Juventus another option in a depleted midfield, with the club needing to manage his return carefully. Sarr can provide qualities that Juve currently need, particularly his speed and ability to pass the ball effectively.

Juventus hope Sarr can make an impact
