William Gomes’s two-match suspension has been upheld by the Portuguese Football Federation’s Disciplinary Council, though his fine has been reduced.
According to O Jogo, the Brazilian winger’s penalty was cut from €1,224 to €918 following an appeal lodged by Porto.
The punishment stems from his straight red card in the match against Casa Pia.
The council applied a mitigating circumstance under the disciplinary code to lower the fine, while the suspension remains unchanged due to rounding rules in the regulations.
He will therefore miss the trip to Choupana to face Nacional, serving the second match of his ban.
