It is now clear where Manchester United youngster Dan Gore will be playing his football this season.

An all-action, technically gifted central midfielder, Gore is primarily a number eight or deep-lying playmaker, known for his press resistance, tenacity, and progressive ball-carrying. He ran the show for the Man United academy, and many who watched him tipped him for stardom.

Gore’s injury struggles

However, when he was handed the chance to take his game to the next level with loan moves designed to give him a taste of first-team football, injuries struck.

Port Vale cut short his 2024 loan after just a single appearance due to persistent physical issues.

Shoulder problems then sidelined him for the first half of the 2024-25 season, an issue that emerged while he was working with the senior team.

Early 2025 brought a bizarre foot injury following a January loan switch to Rotherham United, which consequently kept him out for months.

Nevertheless, despite that setback at the AESSEAL New York Stadium, Rotherham still believed in his abilities and signed him on another loan deal for the 2025-26 season.

His second stint at the club proved a hit. Across 42 appearances in all competitions, he showcased his talents and earned the respect and admiration of the Rotherham faithful, who eventually voted him their Player of the Season.

Back at M16 in the summer, it was unclear whether he would stay or leave until now.

Off to Luton, where he is tipped for a big season

Well, the Daily Mail’s Nathan Salt has revealed where the young midfielder will spend the rest of this season.

Salt says, “Dan Gore is set to join Luton Town on loan.

“Gore won Rotherham’s Player of the Season award and the 21-year-old has been targeted by Jack Wilshere for Luton’s League One promotion bid.”

As salt insinuates, Wilshere will be hoping Gore can take Kenilworth Road by storm and help fire Luton back to the Championship.

An injury-free season could see him do exactly that, changing his fortunes and keeping alive his dream of eventually earning a key role at Old Trafford.
