Isidor scored six Premier League goals last season despite limited minutes. With league, Europa League and domestic cups ahead, Brian Brobbey offers another option through the middle but Le Bris has underlined the need for depth.

A busier calendar should spread minutes across the front line. Isidor drew warm applause from the Roker End when he replaced Brobbey in the final pre-season friendly against Stade Rennais.
