Liverpool were held to a 1-1 draw in the Premier League at Anfield on Saturday afternoon.
Jeremie Frimpong created their first chance, swinging a cross into the penalty area, which Dominik Szoboszlai headed wide.
Hugo Ekitike came close to giving Liverpool the lead with a long-range shot, which was saved by Martin Dubravka.
The Reds were awarded a penalty in the 31st minute after Florentino brought down Cody Gakpo, but Szoboszlai fired his spot-kick against the bar.
Liverpool eventually broke the deadlock before half-time through Florian Wirtz, who scored for the second consecutive game.
Marcus Edwards missed the chance to restore parity for Burnley after the break, blasting his effort high and wide.
Liverpool ramped up the pressure, but the Clarets looked more likely to score.
Edwards drew Burnley level after running onto a through ball from Florentino and finishing into the far corner.
Ekitike thought he had restored Liverpool’s lead, but his effort was ruled out. Substitute Alexis McAllister spurned another chance after receiving a pass from Frimpong.
Liverpool pushed for a late winning goal, but Burnley held on to secure a 1-1 draw.
The Reds sit fourth in the Premier League standings. They are one point clear of Manchester United, who beat Manchester City earlier in the day.
