With 2 Flamengo starters, Brazil win in today's international break | OneFootball

João Victor and Leo Nannetti, Flamengo players, started in Brazil’s 2-0 win over Denmark in Spain

Brazil’s Under-20 national team beat Denmark 2-0 this Thursday (01). In the friendly played in Spain, Flamengo players Leo Nannetti and João Victor were in the starting lineup for the Seleção.

This was the second time Brazil and Denmark faced each other during this FIFA window. The first meeting between the teams took place on Monday (28), ending in a 4-1 thrashing by the Canarinho over their opponent.

This Thursday (01), coach Paulo Victor made a few changes to the team, but Brazil once again came out on top. In the second half, with goals from Bruninho and Erick Belé, the Brazilian national team sealed the final score.

DID JOÃO VICTOR AND LEO NANNETTI, FROM FLAMENGO, START?

In the match, Flamengo’s João Victor and Leo Nannetti were starters. It is important to point out that the Rubro-Negro center back started and captained Brazil in both matches. The goalkeeper, meanwhile, only got his chance this Thursday (01).

It is worth noting that Leo Nannetti already has plenty of experience when it comes to the Brazilian national team. During the preparation of Ancelotti’s call-ups for the 2026 World Cup, the Ninho graduate was among the goalkeepers trained by Taffarel. So, even though he was not on the final list, the player was part of the entire Canarinho process in the tournament.

WHAT DID JOÃO VICTOR SAY WITH BRAZIL’S UNDER-20 NATIONAL TEAM?

“The atmosphere has been light. We like to joke around too. Since it’s everyone’s first call-up, the group ends up being more close-knit, more together. The atmosphere is light. So that helps a lot in our day-to-day and in matches,” João Victor told the CBF’s official profile.

WILL JOÃO VICTOR AND LEO NANNETTI MISS FLAMENGO’S NEXT MATCH?

Because of the FIFA window calendar, João Victor and Leo Nannetti are away from Flamengo during this period. As a result, the duo are confirmed absences for Rubro-Negro’s clash with Sampaio Corrêa-RJ this Saturday (03), at 3:00 p.m. (Brasília time), at Ninho do Urubu.

WHAT IS BRAZIL U-20’S NEXT MATCH?

After the wins against Denmark, Brazil’s Under-20 national team will play one last friendly before the end of the FIFA window. This Sunday (04), the Canarinho take the field to face Mexico at Pinatar Arena in Spain. Therefore, CBF TV (YouTube) will broadcast the match. Finally, as usual, Coluna do Fla will provide all the details of the game on its website and social media.
