Wolfsburg are interested in OGC Nice academy product Brad-Hamilton Mantsounga (18), according to a report from L’Équipe.

The defender has recently made a breakthrough into the first team. Under Franck Haise, he was around the first-team set-up, included in the matchday squad to face SC Braga, notably, but it is under his successor, Claude Puel, that he has started earning minutes.

Mantsounga is the benefactor of the continued injury crisis in the Nice defence, with Mohamed Abdelmonem, Youssouf Ndayishimiye, and Moise Bombito all still out, whilst Dante has also been in and out of the team, and Antoine Mendy missed several weeks while at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) with Senegal.

Mantsounga has therefore played five games in all competitions, but has yet to sign a first professional deal at his formative club. Whilst Nice are in talks to sign him to a contract, Wolfsburg are interested in buying him this summer, L’Équipe understands. The Bundesliga club are weighing up a €500,000 bid.
