Kicker reports that Wolfsburg are unlikely to exercise their option to sign Jenson Seelt permanently from Sunderland.

The 22-year-old centre-back joined on loan at the end of the summer transfer window, with an option to buy included.

Seelt has missed long stretches through injuries and illness.

Currently out with a knee injury, he has not played for Wolfsburg since the start of the year.
