According to ExpressAndStar.com, Raul Jimenez has agreed to re-join Wolves on a free transfer.

Club staff flew to Mexico this week to finalise the move and oversee his medical, and it is understood the striker has accepted a return to Molineux.

He is set to be unveiled after leaving Fulham at the end of his contract. Having completed his medical, he will sign a two-year deal with an option for a third.

Jimenez is due to feature for Mexico in the World Cup opener on Thursday against South Africa, and Wolves staff moved quickly to complete the agreement.

He previously spent five years at the club, a major part of Nuno Espirito Santo’s successful side and a favourite among supporters.

Home fans sang his name during Wolves’ final home game of last season against Fulham, and after the match he hinted at a possible return in an interview.

His comeback follows the signing of experienced defender Kieran Trippier on a free after he left Newcastle.
