Wolves have re-signed Raul Jimenez on a two-year contract, with an option of a further 12 months.

A fan favourite and the club’s greatest ever Premier League striker, he returns three years after his previous spell. According to ExpressAndStar.com, he left Fulham at the end of his contract. He will look to help secure promotion back to the top flight and add to 57 goals in 166 Wolves appearances.

He will wear the number nine shirt again after Adam Armstrong agreed to vacate it upon hearing of Jimenez’s return.

Chairman Nathan Shi called the deal a special moment for everyone connected with the club. He described Jimenez as one of the finest to wear the gold and black shirt and a player who embodies what Wolves stand for.

Shi highlighted the striker’s unforgettable contributions and hero status among supporters, welcoming him back to Molineux during the club’s 150th anniversary year.
