According to ExpressAndStar.com, Wolves have agreed a deal with French side Stade Rennes to sign midfielder Jordan James on loan with an option to buy. The 22-year-old is due to undergo his Wolves medical today.

The package, including the loan fee, will be £10 million. He becomes Wolves' fourth signing of the summer, following Raul Jimenez, Kieran Trippier and Rafiki Said.

The Wales international made 34 appearances on loan at Leicester City in the Championship last term, scoring 11 and providing four assists.

He came through at Birmingham City, scoring 10 goals in 105 games after his 2021 debut.

James joined Rennes in 2024 and scored once in 25 appearances across all competitions in 2024 to 25.

In total, he has 26 caps for Wales, with one goal.
