Wolves head coach Rob Edwards has moved to ease the spotlight on Jørgen Strand Larsen (25), backing the striker to navigate a difficult period after a mixed reaction from the Molineux crowd tested both confidence and resolve.
Strand Larsen has endured a challenging run in front of goal, and the response from the stands has reflected mounting frustration. Yet Edwards was keen to emphasise the unseen work, describing a player who remains committed and respected behind the scenes.
“It is difficult for him, but he’s battling on,” Edwards said, transcribed by Sky Sports. “He’s really good around the place here, working hard.” The Wolves boss added that members of the coaching staff have offered support, reinforcing the belief that perseverance, rather than panic, is the route forward.
With the January transfer window approaching, speculation has begun to swirl, but Edwards dismissed concerns of any immediate upheaval. Instead, he stressed that decisions will be taken calmly and on a case-by-case basis, free from outside noise or pressure.
“We’ll take every situation in January on an individual basis,” he said. “It doesn’t concern me.”
For Edwards, the priority is not market manoeuvring but management, finding ways to lift players whose confidence may be fragile and extracting the best from a squad navigating a demanding spell.
