Andre has signed a new four-year contract at Wolves to 2030, with an option of a further year, in a surprise move after relegation.

The club said in a statement that months of talks preceded the agreement, that the 24-year-old never wavered in his wish to stay, and that he believes in the project to secure a swift return to the Premier League. It described the deal as a statement of intent that reflects long-term ambition and signals to other players.

Andre joined from Fluminense for £18.5m in 2024 and has made 74 appearances in all competitions.

Capped eight times by Brazil while at Molineux, he scored a memorable winner against Liverpool in March.

Relegation confirmed last month led to expectations of high-profile exits. Joao Gomes looks certain to leave and many supporters anticipated Andre would go too.
