Wolves face Liverpool this weekend in their penultimate Premier League match of 2025. Rob Edwards has suffered a significant setback, with Toti Gomes out for weeks with a hamstring issue, while Hugo Bueno is back in training and in contention. The head coach is seeking a big response after a poor display against Brentford.
According to Molineux.news, Bueno had missed the Brentford, Arsenal and Nottingham Forest squads in recent weeks, but Edwards said they are hopeful he will be available for Liverpool.
Wolves’ options are stretched. Emmanuel Agbadou and Tawanda Chirewa have departed for AFCON, while Rodrigo Gomes has been sidelined for the past few weeks. Marshall Munetsi and Jean-Ricner Bellegarde are also injured.
Edwards said Toti faces a significant period out, describing it as a big blow for the player and the team. He added they have had a couple of muscle injuries in recent weeks after pushing hard, and that these are always a shame.
Toti had played every match under Edwards before Brentford, usually on the left of his three. Ladislav Krejci could step in again after covering in the Brentford game.
