Wolves have had six of their opening nine fixtures moved for television, with the Black Country derby at Molineux among those selected. According to ExpressAndStar.com, the first batch of broadcast picks has reshaped much of their start.
Relegated to the Championship, Wolves begin under Cesar Peixoto and are being viewed as one of the favourites for promotion. New dates and kick-off times cover league and cup.
They open with a Carabao Cup first round tie at home to Port Vale on Friday, August 7 at 7.45pm, not a main TV pick but live on Sky Sports+. The Championship opener against Blackburn at Molineux follows on Friday, August 14 at 8pm on Sky Sports Football.
The trip to Preston remains unchanged. The home game with Stoke is brought forward to 12.30pm on Saturday, August 29 on Sky Sports+. A midweek visit to West Ham is also unaffected.
The West Midlands derby at Birmingham will now kick off at 12pm on Sunday, September 6, live on Sky Sports Football. As a knock-on, Portsmouth at Molineux moves to Wednesday, September 9 and is not selected for broadcast.
Wolves’ visit to Sheffield United is on Sky Sports Football at midday on Sunday, September 13. The derby with Albion completes this round of picks, kicking off at midday on Sunday, September 20.
