Wolves hero Romain Saiss discusses future while seeking next club after Al Sadd exit | OneFootball

Wolves hero Romain Saiss is seeking a new club after leaving Al Sadd and has discussed plans for life beyond playing.

“I just finished my contract with my previous club. But I want to keep playing, a little bit more. I still have the desire to play.” He was speaking on the Official Wolves Podcast.

“Football is our life, so it is hard to stop. I am still good physically and mentally. I am looking to have something, but more in the area where I am living now, in Qatar or the Middle East.”

“It is important for me to prepare for the next step and so when I stop playing I can go straight to coaching and don’t have a gap between stopping playing and finding what I want to do and what I like. I know sometimes for some players it is difficult.”

“The most important thing for me is to find a club and play, but I am trying to do these things to be ready for the future.”

He left Wolves in 2022 after more than 200 appearances, a key figure in Nuno Espirito Santo’s successful side.

He made 21 appearances for Al Sadd across all competitions last season and spent a season with Besiktas in Türkiye after departing Wolves.
