Wolves have been linked with another right-back, with Max Aarons among several transfer talking points across the Midlands.

According to ExpressAndStar.com, Aarons, who spent this season on loan at Rangers after a stint with Valencia, looks set to leave Bournemouth this summer. Wolves are said to be at the front of the queue, with interest from England, Portugal and Spain, while West Ham, Porto and Villarreal are monitoring.

Last summer’s £19m signing Lopez returned to his former club for the second half of the campaign after a frustrating start. His form improved in Spain and Celta Vigo want him back next season. Coach Claudio Giraldez believes a deal is possible, adding that both club and player want it, though contractual hurdles with Wolves remain.

Wolves are also admirers of Tottenham prospect Alfie Devine. The 21-year-old midfielder delivered eight goals and eight assists on loan at Preston last season.

Ex-West Brom forward Reyes Cleary, who rejected a new Albion contract last year before joining Barnsley, has impressed in League One. Derby, Bristol City, Sheffield United and Hull are lining up moves, and Albion could profit from a sell-on windfall from the Barnsley deal.

Aston Villa have again been linked with Fulham’s Harry Wilson, who is out of contract this summer and could leave on a free. Villa are also said to want to keep Jadon Sancho for his versatility, and he is open to staying in the Midlands.
