Tatung-sponsored pinstripes in 1982/83 remain classics, as Wolves went up as Second Division runners-up.

Umbro’s 1980 League Cup final strip set an old gold V-neck with black trim and the wolf-head crest. It evokes the 1-0 Wembley win over Nottingham Forest, Andy Gray scoring in the second half.

In 1992/93 the tyre mark home shirt stood out. Wolves were unbeaten in their first 12 league games, their best start since 1949/50, before finishing 11th in the First Division again.

A year later the Wolverhampton city coat of arms returned, the same crest on the new anniversary shirt. It had featured on the 1960 FA Cup final-winning shirt and paired neatly with Goodyear.

From 2002 to 2004 Doritos took centre stage on the chest, and that spell brought promotion to the Premier League.

Le Coq Sportif kept it simple in 2009/10. Under Mick McCarthy, Wolves stayed up.

In 1974/75 a central badge of three wolves replaced the lone wolf, and it was worn in the League Cup final win over Manchester City.

For 2019/20 adidas produced a Mexican-inspired Europa League third shirt, green with red accents. Wolves reached the group stage with Besiktas, Slovan Bratislava and Braga. Divisive then, it is unmistakable now.
