Wolves players return as Cesar Peixoto starts pre-season ahead of Championship campaign

Wolves have reported back for pre-season testing as Cesar Peixoto begins his tenure at Compton. According to ExpressAndStar.com, the new head coach arrived last week and welcomed the squad on Monday as work began.

New signing Kieran Trippier was among the arrivals, with the club targeting an immediate return to the Premier League.

First-team figures including Andre and Mateus Mane also checked in, while loanees such as Nasser Djiga returned to the fold.

The squad are due to head to Portugal for a training camp soon, but players involved at the World Cup will receive extended breaks. None of the eight Wolves World Cup representatives will travel, with each granted three full weeks off from their elimination dates.

The first friendly in front of supporters is at Maidenhead United on July 22.
