Wolves reject Real Sociedad bid for Ladislav Krejci | OneFootball

Wolverhampton Wanderers have rebuffed an official bid from Real Sociedad for defender Ladislav Krejci, according to transfer reporter Fabrizio Romano.

They signed the defender permanently this summer following a successful loan spell, but he could already be on the move again.

The Czech international was one of the few shining spots for Wolves last season, despite relegation to the Championship.

The left-footed 27-year-old helped keep three clean sheets in 28 Premier League appearances, winning 57 percent of his aerial and 43% of his ground duels.

He could be the next player to exit this summer after Tolu Arokodare and Joao Gomes.

Wolves rejected the first bid as they considered it too low. Sociedad may come back with a better bid, but they are unlikely to sell him on the cheap.

Wolves should consider Kilman to replace Krejci

If Wolves eventually sell Krejci, the club should seriously consider bringing Max Kilman back to Molineux.

His £40 million move to West Ham United has failed to go according to plan, and a return to familiar surroundings could benefit all parties.

Kilman understands the expectations and has already proven he can thrive in Wolves’ back line.

He is left-footed, just like Krejci, making him a natural stylistic replacement rather than forcing a tactical reshuffle.

Kilman also brings invaluable Premier League experience and leadership to a squad that could lose one of its defensive pillars.
