Wolves Star Comes Through Medical Ahead Of Exit | OneFootball

Wolves defender David Moller Wolfe has passed his medical at Bundesliga side Hamburg, with the move now expected to be completed shortly.

The Old Gold brought Moller Wolfe to England from Dutch outfit AZ Alkmaar last summer, with the full-back recruited to fill the void left by Rayan Ait-Nouri.

The Norwegian endured a difficult first campaign with the Midlands club, starting just eleven of his 22 appearances as Wolves struggled throughout the season and eventually suffered relegation.

Wolves have reshaped their squad this summer, but several players have also moved on, with the number of departures continuing to rise.

The 24-year-old defender is now set to secure a season-long loan move to Bundesliga outfit Hamburg.

According to German journalist Florian Plettenberg, Moller Wolfe has completed his medical at Hamburg, with the move expected to be finalised shortly.

The temporary move will give the Norwegian a chance to impress in the Bundesliga and, with an option to buy in the deal, it could mark a permanent exit from Wolves.

Moller Wolfe will be looking to quickly make an impact with Hamburg, who finished 13th in the Bundesliga last season.

He will join another player from an English club in being on loan at Hamburg, with defender Sebastiaan Bornauw having joined on loan from Leeds United earlier this summer.

Following his departure, Hugo Bueno is now the only option left for manager Cesar Peixoto to use in the left-back department, as he looks to get Wolves battling to win promotion back to the Premier League at the first time of asking.

With the summer transfer window in its final stages, it remains to be seen whether Wolves will bring another left-back.
