Wolves face a battle to land Brighton winger Amario Cozier-Duberry, while Aston Villa are reported to have an agreement to sign Leon Goretzka and are eyeing Jean-Philippe Mateta, with the window closing in two weeks.
Football Insider says West Ham are well placed to beat Rangers to Cozier-Duberry, while Scottish reports claim Rangers are closing in. The Daily Mail says Villa have enquired about Mateta, and BBC Sport reports he has launched a FIFA dispute.
Wolves entered the race for the 21-year-old this week. Cozier-Duberry has interest from across the Championship, Scotland and mainland Europe and is expected to leave Brighton this summer. Rangers have already had two bids rejected.
Villa have reportedly reached an agreement to sign free agent Goretzka after his Bayern Munich contract expired this summer, and a medical is said to be planned before an announcement next week. Bayern confirmed the 31-year-old is free to move after Germany’s World Cup exit.
He would replace Youri Tielemans, who joined Manchester United earlier in the window. Goretzka has 327 Bundesliga appearances, 73 Champions League outings and 73 Germany caps.
Palace are understood to have no intention of selling Mateta, whose contract runs until next summer. The French striker is in a formal dispute with FIFA over the remainder of that deal.
