Tottenham Hotspur head to Molineux on Saturday, facing a desperate battle for their Premier League survival.
Relegation was confirmed for their today’s hosts, Wolves, earlier this week following a dismal campaign in the West Midlands. However, they could still drag Spurs into the second tier with them this weekend. Roberto De Zerbi is still searching for his first victory since taking charge in North London.
Tottenham are currently two points adrift of safety with only five matches remaining. They showed significant improvement during a 2-2 draw against Brighton last weekend.
Meanwhile, Wolves have lost twenty-two matches this season during a prolonged crisis. Rob Edwards’ side failed to score in seventeen league fixtures so far this term. Spurs must end a fifteen-game winless run to relaunch their fight against the drop.
Rob Edwards faces a defensive crisis with seven senior players unavailable for selection. Yerson Mosquera is currently serving a suspension and will miss the clash. Jose Sa and Sam Johnstone are both struggling with shoulder injuries.
In their absence, third-choice goalkeeper Daniel Bentley is expected to start. Matt Doherty remains sidelined, while Angel Gomes and Ladislav Krejci are major doubts.
Destiny Udogie is out after picking up a muscular injury against Brighton last week. Roberto De Zerbi confirmed that Djed Spence will likely deputise at left-back. James Maddison is a doubt due to pain, but will travel with the squad.
Cristian Romero, Guglielmo Vicario, and Pape Matar Sarr remain sidelined with various injuries. Dejan Kulusevski, Wilson Odobert, and Mo Kudus are also unavailable for this weekend.
Wolves have endured a disastrous run, losing twenty-two Premier League matches this season. They were mathematically relegated following West Ham’s draw with Crystal Palace. The squad suffered heavy back-to-back defeats against West Ham and Leeds recently.
That said, they are unbeaten in their last six games against Spurs. They have collected just seventeen points from thirty-three matches during a dismal year.
Spurs remain winless in all fifteen Premier League matches played during 2026. They occupy the final relegation spot and sit two points below safety. The team showed energy and improved pressing in their recent draw with Brighton.
However, a stoppage-time equaliser in that game was a crushing blow to confidence. They have won none of their last five games when scoring first.
Wolves Predicted XI: Bentley, Tchatchoua, Toti, S. Bueno, H. Bueno, J. Gomes, Andre, Mane, Bellegarde, Armstrong, Hwang
Tottenham Predicted XI: Kinsky, Porro, Danso, Van de Ven, Spence, Bissouma, Bentancur, Kolo Muani, Gallagher, Simons, Solanke
In the UK, the game will not be televised live due to the Saturday blackout.
