It was a determined, clinical and well-organised Inter side that took home three very important points after the match against Napoli at the Arena Civica in Milano, on the second day of the women's second half of the Serie A season. The Nerazzurre continued on their excellent path and climbed the standings with 24 points gained after 11 matches. The match against the Campania team was decided by Magull's goal, which arrived after only eight minutes of play: Csiszar was perfect in kickstarting the action, serving Bowen who, with a perfect cross, found the German midfielder in the area, hitting the net with her precise header.
In the course of the first half, Inter made themselves dangerous again with Cambiaghi, who first linked up with Karchouni just ahead in the box, then tried from the distance but found Bacic's prompt reply. In the final minutes Napoli threw themselves forward and tried with a shot from outside the box by Jelcic that finished high over the crossbar.
The second half maintained the balance of the first 45 minutes, and for Inter the most significant chances came through Cambiaghi, Polli, Wullaert's low shot saved and Magull's ball to Karchouni who, however, failed to find the angle. The match slipped to the 90th minute and after five minutes of added time gave the three points to Piovani's team who will return to the pitch on 8 December for the derby away against AC Milan.
