Morocco will once again be the capital of African football as it hosts the 14th edition of the Women's Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON 2026).
This tournament will feature 16 nations, divided into four groups.

Zambia – 5 – Bronze medal, 3rd place (2022)
Tanzania – 3 – Group stage (2010, 2024)
Malawi – 1 – First appearance
Algeria – 7 – Quarter-finalist (2024)
Nigeria – 14 – Gold medal, champions (1998, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2010, 2014, 2016, 2018, 2024)
Ghana – 12 – Silver medal, runners-up (1998, 2002, 2006); Bronze medal, 3rd place
Burkina Faso – 2 – Group stage (2022)
Kenya – 2 – Group stage (2016)
South Africa – 14 – Gold medal, champions (2022); 4th place
