Switzerland plays host to the 2025 Women’s European Championship this summer.
This is the 14th edition of the Women’s European Championship, consisting of 16 teams from across the continent. England are the defending champions, having lifted the trophy for the first time in 2022. The Lionesses are back to defend their crown, but they did finish second in their qualifying group, handing them a tough tie.
Record European champions Germany are also involved, as are world champions Spain. Poland and Wales are the two sides making their Women’s European Championship debuts.
Women’s Euro 2025 starts on Wednesday 2nd July and runs through to Sunday 27th July, and takes place across eight different stadiums in eight cities. Arena Thun in Thun will host the first game of the tournament, while Basel’s St Jakob-Park is set to host the final.
